Meet Shayla! Born and raised in Chetwynd BC where she spent her early years figure skating, moving into training for 1/2 marathons and becoming a bit of a gym rat and fitness junkie.
Now raising her own 2 daughters, Aliyah and Avery, in Chetwynd, Shayla still maintains health and fitness as an important component of her life, and as a strong role model for her daughters.
When she was first introduced to Pound Fitness, she immediately took a liking to the movement, the music and the challenge of the work out. She enjoyed the workout so much she decided to complete her certification to become an instructor so she could share what the movement and music mean to her with others in her community. Time spent prepping for a class includes her two young girls joining in on the practice and dancing. Shayla loves seeing how her own kids and the community can find a workout that doesn't feel like work at all because its making fitness fun!
